Commander’s Note

Hello American Legion Post 434 Membership!
First and foremost, I am honored yet again to be selected to another term as Post 434 Commander. Thank you! Wow, how time flies. Another year gone by. Last year was exceptional and we accomplished a great deal again at Post 434. Our Post continues to be exceptional, stay relevant, make much needed improvements to our Post, seek opportunities within our community and apply those to the four pillars the American Legion was founded on, Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children and Youth. We succeeded yet again at beating our 100% goal for membership, over 400 members, which is not an easy challenge. Our Posts strengths and health is what allows us to meet the vision and mission of the American Legion. I look forward to some exciting new programs I have discussed with our SAL, Legion riders and Auxiliary leadership for the coming years. One of which will be a scholarship fund for a member’s child or grandchild, very excited for what’s to come. As always, I will continue to value tradition, while also doing my best to ensure our Post stays current and continues down the path of success. You all make this Post a very special place and should be proud of that. Look forward to doing this with you all again.
